It's recommended using this program at least 2-3 times per week, e.g., M-W-F or T-TH. Daily total class sessions may last from (60) to (115_ minutes with approximately (20) to (25) minutes per group. Groups are cycled through (3-4) stations during each daily session. Remember, this process may be modified to fit your classroom situation.
The Trace Erase Skill Packets are scoped and sequenced to allow optimum learning. However, packets may be used out of sequence to suit teacher/classroom requirements.
Teachers may begin loading (6) Trace Erase Boards with (6) #1 Skill packets: each skill packet opened to a different page e.g., Board#1 with skill packet page 1, Board #2 with skill packet page 2, Board #3 with skill packet page 4, Board #4 with skill packet page 4, Board #5 with skill packet page 5, and BOard #6 with skill packet page 6.
During Direct Instruction always have all Boards loaded prior to students arriving at the table for instruction. Do not allow students to remove skill packets. Allow students to work with each skill/Board for (2-3) minutes before passing it to the next student. Have students erase both sides of their Board prior to passing to the next child. Begin working on new skill when new skill/Board is received.
Process: First trace over skill on acrylic surface, erase and repeat several times, then turn Board over and practice skill on White Marker Board without a model to trace over. Erase Board and return to the acrylic surface for additional reinforced learning.
