• Then, build on mixed phonogram words:

Begin teaching Alpha Call-Response words: (a-z) apple to zebra

• Introduce common noun-words familiar to students: animals fruit vegetables clothing shapes vehicles toys names.
  
  
• Teacher: dictate words and keep track of words used each day. Begin with short /a/ words and do similar lessons with each group until entire class has practiced. Then, move to next word group. Not individual students that require additional one-on-one help.
